LSL Senior Sunday Preview: Bluebell United FC vs Wayside Celtic The Red Cow 11.00 Kick Off.
This Sunday we welcome the newly promoted side Wayside Celtic. The green, white and reds have had a positive start to their season return to the top flight picking up 16pts from their first 11 games and will travel to The Red Cow in full confidence. The team from Jackson Park have already picked up some valuable points on the road this year and will look to continue that run of form. Peter Lennon has managed his side to picking up points away versus Mochtas, Drums and Malahide so far to date along with picking up all three points when Crumlin travelled to Jackson Park early in October. Although Wayside spent a season away from the top flight last year, they are filled with experience and Peter Lennon and his coaching staff have added a bit of youth to their squads so they will be a formidable opponent come Sunday morning.
From The Bells point of view we will be coming into the game with the expectation of getting back to winning ways in the league. A jumpy start to the league campaign combined with some key injuries to key players has meant that manager Andy Noonan has not had the ideal start to his defence of the title and a charge for three in a row but training this week up in a frosty and foggy SDFL was positive, energetic and full of players returning from injury which will fill the squad and coaching staff with confidence going into the Christmas break but first we must overcome a difficult opponent in Wayside Celtic. Our last meeting was a 3-0 away victory for The Bell in May 2015.
Once again we would like to welcome Peter and his players to The Red Cow this coming Sunday and best of luck to both sides. #TheBell
